Roles & responsibilities:

Our Digital Marketing Specialist is trusted with effective content monitoring of our clients’ social media presence, keeping in mind their products, brand, and corporation. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will develop, execute and track growth of marketing strategies. Content creation will involve dissemination of multimedia content. 

Often giving voice to our clients, this role is integral for all of our digital marketing initiatives and will be a champion for the broader marketing success of all ventures. This role will focus on fulfilling the mission of Iconium and the clients. 

This position will be responsible for:

Content Planning:

  • Help create an overarching editorial calendar, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Stay up to date with new advertising strategies, platform updates, and industry developments. Consistently use these learnings, along with campaign performance, to develop new strategies to improve overall performance. 
  • Generate ideas to increase customer engagement.
  • Design content marketing strategies and set short-term goals.
  • Regularly deliver engaging content.
  • Edit, proofread, and improve content.


Content Production:

  • Produce high-quality content by collaborating and integrating with design and film teams.
  • Assist in scheduling social posts & create stories in conjunction with Social Advertising team.
  • Execute digital campaigns and provide ongoing digital advertising budget management.


Achieving Business Targets:

  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Undertake content marketing initiatives to achieve business targets.
  • Review reporting and data analysis to make decisions for social media targeting and bidding strategies and identify market opportunities and/or campaign issues, devise solutions or modifications.
  • Execute advertising strategies for Iconium Media and its clients including platform strategy development, maintenance, and campaign refinement on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, to increase reach, awareness, and conversions.


Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Integrated Marketing and the Social Advertising team to ensure content integration.
  • Help to inspire teammates to be mission aligned in the execution of all projects.
  • Design content marketing strategies and set short-term goals.
  • Undertake content marketing initiatives to achieve business targets.
  • Produce high-quality content by collaborating with design and writing teams.
  • Create an editorial calendar, delegate tasks, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Regularly deliver engaging content.
  • Edit, proofread, and improve the content.
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics.
  • Analyze web traffic metrics.
  • Ensure a strong web presence on various channels.
  • Generate ideas to increase customer engagement.

Skills & Abilities:

Candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating and coordinating content for multiple platforms
  • Monitoring social analytics
  • Devising social advertising strategies
  • Engaging with the clients' audiences
  • Populating and reviewing content calendars

And should have:

  • Knowledge of planning, executing, and optimizing advertising campaigns on social media platforms, as well as a general understanding of other marketing strategies and principles
  • Experience working directly in paid social media advertising platforms (Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, marketing leadership, and other individuals in the broader unit
  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks while switching priorities and focus

Management Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate and delegate tasks to team members, determine the right people for each task.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ability to deliver projects that have been reviewed and quality meets the Iconium Media standard.

Self-Learning Skills:

  • Will invest time to research and explore new and enhanced methods of executing process and work
  • Able to work both independently and with a team
  • Contemporary technical skills and troubleshooting abilities

Education & Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of content and advertising 
  • A degree (or working on a degree) in Design, Communications, English, Film, or Media
  • Experience working on creating content 
  • Knowledge of production workflow
  • Design skills an asset (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign)
