The concept that “stories have the power to shape communities, inspire connection, and move people to actions”, has stood the test of time and has carried us through thousands of moments. Late nights, creative breakthroughs, new partnerships, and projects that have stretched our imagination. Our 10-year anniversary reminded us what has always made this work meaningful—the people who share in it.
“What makes Iconium special is the integrity, the heart, and the genuine care they bring to every partnership.”
– Karim Kassam, Co-Founder & Principal of Optima Living
Those words reflect what has defined Iconium since the beginning. Every client, team member, and collaborator has helped shape who we are. The journey has been one of growth, learning, and trust.
From the start, Iconium’s work has grown out of community. Ideas take root here, in conversations with local businesses, organizations, and individuals who believe in creating something that lasts.
As Alberta’s Minister of Technology and Innovation, The Honourable Nate Glubish shared,
“Iconium shows what can happen when innovation and local passion come together. Alberta’s creative industry is thriving because of companies like this.”
That vision has guided us for a decade. Creativity is not something separate from community. It is built through the relationships we form and the stories we tell together.
Nathan Neufeld, CEO of 10FOLD Group spoke about the connection that fuels good work.
“Working with Iconium has always felt like more than a partnership. It’s a shared pursuit of meaningful work done with care.”
Every collaboration carries that same spirit. We believe that storytelling has the power to create understanding, spark action, and bring people together. The best ideas grow in spaces where people respect and listen to one another.
Reflecting on the past decade, Karen Schenk, Owner & CEO of Iconium Media shared a message that captured the heart of Iconium’s journey:
“Every person who has spent time with us has helped build what Iconium is today. Many more will come, and we’re so excited for that. We have some big ideas for what’s next.”
Karen’s words remind us that the foundation of Iconium has always been people—those who believe in growth, creativity, and purpose. The next ten years will carry that same energy forward.
Mayor of Strathcona County, Rod Frank captured the heart of what keeps us grounded.
“Iconium Media represents the spirit of Sherwood Park—local creativity with global reach. You’ve made our community proud.”
Those words mean a great deal to us. While our work continues to reach new audiences, our foundation will always be here. This community is where our story began and where it continues to grow.
The next ten years will bring new tools, new opportunities, and new stories to tell. Our commitment remains the same: to create work with purpose, to stay curious, and to build meaningful connections through creativity.
“This doesn’t mark an end. It celebrates a moment, and we look forward to what’s to come.”
– Greg Ramsden, VP of Operations of Iconium Media
To our team, our clients, our partners, and our community—thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next chapter and all the stories still to come.
