Job Summary
The Videographer is responsible for executing video production deliverables across client and internal projects. This role focuses on production excellence, technical execution, and creative consistency within a structured project workflow.
The Videographer does not own project timelines or client communication, but is accountable for delivering assigned video assets on scope, on standard, and on schedule as defined by the Film Production Manager.
The role includes some travel for on-location shoots, sometimes outside normal office conditions or hours.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Execution
- Execute video shoots including camera operation, lighting, and audio capture.
- Follow approved creative briefs, shot lists, and production plans.
- Ensure footage meets technical and creative standards before handoff to post-production.
- Support direction on set when required and operate within defined roles (videographer, camera op, assistant).
Post-Production
- Edit video content according to project briefs, brand standards, and delivery specs.
- Assemble rough cuts, revisions, and final exports within assigned timelines.
- Prepare deliverables for handoff, review, and distribution.
- Maintain organized project files and version control.
Workflow & Collaboration
- Work within established project timelines, task boards, and review processes.
- Communicate progress, risks, and completion status to the Project Manager and Account Manager.
- Participate in project check-ins, production meetings, and reviews.
- Implement feedback efficiently and accurately.
Quality Control
- Ensure all video deliverables meet Iconium Media quality standards.
- Review work prior to submission to reduce revision cycles.
- Flag technical or creative issues early.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with video production tools, techniques, and formats.
- Contribute to internal improvements in production efficiency and quality.
- Support documentation of best practices when requested.
Skills
- Strong technical proficiency with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Solid understanding of visual storytelling and pacing.
- Proficiency in professional editing software. (Davinci Resolve, Final Cut)
- Experience in Adobe Premiere is an asset but not required.
- Ability to execute within defined creative direction.
- High attention to detail and file organization.
- Clear, concise internal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables across concurrent projects.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in video production or agency environments.
- Formal education in film, media, or equivalent professional experience.
- Working knowledge of production workflows and post-production pipelines.
- Experience collaborating within structured project teams.
