Praxis: Youth Film Series

Today’s youth are inundated more information and choices than ever before. As individuals strive to navigate through the opportunities they are presented with, they are often faced with difficult choices. Praxis is an activity driven film series created and produced by Iconium Media with SPAC Youth, that seeks to provide today’s youth with tools to help answer some of the questions that surface. Praxis is designed to be shown in a group environment. It’s a tool to help mentors and youth leaders start conversations that facilitate individual growth in a group environment.

The Bible

We see evidence of Jesus miraculous works in the Bible, but does Jesus still heal today? Jesus is our Healer, and He is healing people today. Healing is made available to us because of Jesus death on the cross. Sickness came with sin, so healing comes in the atonement.

Jesus left the world just as miraculously as He arrived, and then said He was coming back. But what is it He is coming back to? And what is our part to play in the world that He turned over to us in the meantime? Jesus is our Coming King. The Kingdom of God is a now, not yet, reality - one that is available to us now - but is also yet to come when Jesus returns. His return is imminent and is motivation for holy living and sacrificial service: Our role, is ushering in the Kingdom by being prepared and being missional.

SPAC Youth is the student ministry of Sherwood Park Alliance Church, dedicated to creating a vibrant, Christ-centered community for teens. Through weekly gatherings that blend high-energy games, engaging teaching, and intentional small group conversations, SPAC Youth equips students to grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and experience the love of Jesus in practical ways. Led by a passionate team of pastors and volunteer leaders, the ministry exists to walk alongside youth in the challenges of life, offering mentorship, prayer, and a place of true belonging.
